Iberian lynx

A highly endangered Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus) taking a break at a clearing in the forest near Adamuz, Spain. With only 500 or so individuals living in the wild, the Iberian lynx is categorised as EN-endangered in the IUCN Red List. Conservation efforts helped the species from extinction in the 2000's when only around a 100 animals roamed the Iberian peninsula.
