Samburu Wedding, Kenya, 2018
The North of Kenya and the Samburus. For more than 20 years I have been interested and fascinated by Africa. Especially by the north of Kenya and its native inhabitants the Samburus. In the spring of 2018, I set off for 1 months to explore the Samburu culture and the north of Kenya.

Every year in March and April is wedding time in Samburu county. A Samburu wedding goes over 3 days.The father of the bride engages the Moran dancers who perform the ceremony of the wedding.
Mario Marino is a independent award winning photographer, austrian born and based in germany. He has been photographing social documentarys and various peoples in their native lands since 2000. his work is exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.Central to his pictures is a fascinating portraiture in which he maintains an empathetic connection to his subjects. Each image conveys a sense of simple joy of being and living in our world.
