The Norwegian Erling Kagge was the first human being to reach
the three extreme points of the earth, the North and South
Poles, as well as the top of Mount Everest. In his book, Silence,
he writes about silence as a luxury. I capture such silent
moments with my camera. The simpler the subjects, the better.
It is quite possible that this is an escape from reality, a reaction
to excessive demands, but one thing is certain: noise is a
troublemaker that reduces the quality of life. Klagge sees
another form of luxury: not being available from time to time ā€“ a
tech break. I create my ideas when I am offline up in the
mountains.
