I am an indigenous Australian artist. This was my first visit to the
centre of my homeland. Awestruck, yet apprehensive as the
landscape overwhelms; it warned of a certain physical alienation,
as a disconnect obliquely hung in the 40 degree atmosphere that
engulfed me. The camera lens served as a safeguard, as it allowed
me to decipher and compose the absurd majesty of the red centre
and its curious textures.
