As artists, we bring layers of influence and life experience to our
image making, whether from the specificity of consciousness or
from the intangible subconscious. For my project, Story Lines, I
use those layers to create unique constructions, combining
photographs that distort and shift the original focus into
something altered and unintended. The result is a new narrative
that speaks to the subconscious, to dreams and desires, to
childhood and other worlds. The complexity of these images allow
for story lines that are individually interpreted by the viewer. In a
sense, they are the film still in my own surreal home movies.
