The series was shot in 2014 in Nueva Durango, which is a
Mennonite colony in Paraguay. The colony has about 2000
habitants and make it´s living mostly of agriculture. Worldwide
there are a lot of Mennonite colonies, some with a very
traditional way of life even waiving electricity others are as
modern as the western world.
The very religious society of Nueva Durango, which has it´s
origin in the northern part of Germany and the Netherlands
finds itself in-between tradition and progress.
