This project is to reflect light on the women living in Afghanistan and their situation. Although burkas give a very anonymous and impersonal feeling about the lady wearing it, I gave some characteristic to the ladies under the burka with the jewelry and with their own birds in another case. I found it interesting to make shoot these symbols with those women as a contrast to what we usually see in fashion world. My intension is to experiment and observe the reaction of the viewer to the subject I'm dealing with here.
