Fire
Fire is something so remarkable that we learned to create it; there was a shift mankind’s evolution. Before and after the discovery of fire we lived in different ways. With fire we could cook our food, create weapons for hunting, materials for building, keep warm, create light. It creates a sense of community as people gather around the kindling fireplace. Just as it can bring so much to warmth and joy into our life. It can also be a great destructor. Through a process of rapid oxidation it burns into ashes most of what it desires, and melts into liquid some of the hardest metals.
Fire is one of nature’s most beautiful spectacles. As it dances in the wind, its orange glow captivating. Flames move around with the wind creating trails of light that disappear a second later. I capture with my images of the Fire Element, a memory of the kiss it had with darkness.
