Tripoli means three cities. It is the second largest city in Lebanon. It is located near
Lebanon's northern border with Syria. From start of the uprising in syrian the city of
Tripoli has seen fighting in Jabal Mohsen and Bab el Tabaneh neighborhoods where the
alawuie and sunnie communities lives. Only during the last year more than 60 people died.
Sunnis in Tripoli supporting Syrian rebels while the alawuie community, supports the
Syrian President Basar Al-Assad.
