Tiny Nails

This work is made up of installations and still life vanities, with the common desire of a same aesthetic and refined palette. The photographs are composed in stiff frames, representing absurd, unreal or just dream-like images that draw their inspiration from our doubts.
Still lifes, which open and close the series, play on the ambiguity of fragile transience and eternity. Similarly, the characters who appear in the photographs, although being represented prisoners behind tiny spaces, seem lost in an latent in-between: seized between the disillusionment of childhood dreams and anxiety of time.
While the overall tone - just like the color - is dark, the images are still flirting with poetry and humor.

Born in France in 1980, I have been interested in art photography for long.
My first works and exhibitions focus on abandoned places for their graphical and organic interest. More recently I tend to develop some more personal researches, with more conceptual and staging photographies.
