Intimité

I've always had a very intimate relationship with the image. As far back as I can remember, I've always been drawing. It was not until adolescence that the camera has begun to replace my pencils. After studying applied arts, I turned to the world of film and video, where I now work as an editor, special effects artist, a passion for the image that has never left me.

Today, I write more easily with pictures than words. Each of my photographs can thus be read as a little poem, seeking less to describe than to feel an intimate pictorial interpretation of what was given to me to see this suspended moment.

Instinctive, minimalist, clean, graphic, made of lines, precise framing and deep black, as would be the words to describe my photographic approach. Details fade, anecdotal disappears, only remains the essential and revealed. The reality becomes unreal, and photography, an invitation to the imagination.
