Rapture

The images in my Rapture series are a metaphor for the transition between life and death. Many images depict the metamorphosis that takes place as if passing from one dimension to another, falling in the sky, slipping out of a dress. In this series I try to convey a feeling of departing the body for another dimension, leaving behind the trappings of everyday life. My hope is that the viewer will be reminded of the transience of life and the mystery of what lies beyond. The Rapture Series will be exhibited at the Robin Rice Gallery in New York, opening on May 8, 2013.
