Theater in the Big Tent

The recent American presidential campaign resembled a road show. Stages and backdrops were provided by the campaigns. Cheering crowds lined the walls beside balloons and flags. Reality seemed to be constructed for the cameras. This project seeks to find absurdity within, and in many cases caused by that staging. The scenes off to the side of the main performance are more revealing than the production itself. They show the scale of the staging, and help to show the context while stepping away from the controlled visual.
