Abnormally White

I am interested in how we perceive our world with our eyes. We know objects by their colors, shades, textures and shape, but how much do we rely on colors and shades? "Abnormally White" blocked the former two visual components of some every day fruits and vegetables mentioned above. Do we still think they are delicious? Or do we even know them at all?
