My own little World

Elaborate Scenarios, Situations like in a Movie, crazy composed Pictures in which one wonders how such a thing could be
possible, I have always been fascinated. My Role-Models are photographers like David LaChapelle, Annie Leiboviz and Gregory Crewdson. In my own Images, the laws of Gravity are dissolved, deformed fixed proportions
and rearranged. I create my Photographs on my Computer for my mental Images and thoughts. The
Viewers are able to participate my mind. My main Theme in my Artwork is the Human
and its Environment, which I put in different Situations and plot lines. My Series "My own little
World " in which I create a Fantasyworld that shows my personality, my life and my environment. The
Photographs combine elaborate Locations with characters from my childhood Memories, Symbols and People who
play an important role in my life, or fascinate me. At the same time I interpret works of art from previous
Times of an entirely new, by the current Time embossed side and deal with the people depicted
and their individuality.

Jun Kim was born 1988 in Japan, lives and works in Cologne & Dortmund. As a child he was very much exposed to the artistic work of his parents Elke Kim, Ken Mai and his uncle Bernd Arnold. This gradually formed his enormous interest in photography. Jun Kim began studying Photo-Design in 2009, at the Design University Dortmund. His Photography is characterized by a world which consists of highly complex compositions, scenarios as seen in motion picture, idiosyncratic images, which create an parallel universe where the impossible becomes possible.
