Madison, Wisconsin, USA: State teacherâ??s union protest Governor Walkerâ??s bill to remove collective bargaining and an 18% pay cut. This bill extends to all state workers and unions. The peaceful and some times solemn protest started mid February 2011 held at the state capital building began with the teachers and since been continued by other state employees into March 2011 as they fight for compromise.

Grew up in Western Suburban Chicago Illinois and have loved photography since high school. Educated as a Dietitian in Northwest Wisconsin and fell in love with the outdoors. As a trained scientist I currently work in and have focused for years on various areas of medical research. In 2008 decided to immerse myself in my love for nature and photography benefiting from the escape that it provides for me. I get lost in my photography, where hours can pass and miles are walked without noticing. My passion for sharing the beauty of the world is equal to my passion to help others through research.
