Forgotten hopes

The Internally displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan settled themselves in abandoned buildings of Baku more than 18 years ago. Since that time they live here, in self-improvised cardboard houses, and used to accept it as a new home. Victims of the frozen war they are long ago forgotten by any officials and organizations and rely only on their own ability to survive. There are around 900 000 forgotten IDP in Azerbaijan.
