Durga Puja Kolkata

The Durga Puja is the one of the most prominent festivals in India. It is extensively celebrated in the Northern and Eastern states of the country especially in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and Tripura.
Finding its origin in the Hindu mythology, the Goddess Durga is regarded as the deity of power. The ten-armed Goddess descends on Earth to kill the demon Mahishasura, who set out to conquer the world with his tyranny and invincible power.
Every year in autumn, the Durga Puja is celebrated for ten days to commemorate the victory of Good over Evil.
