Bio
Jennifer Richter is an emerging award winning fine art photographer, based in St. Louis, Missouri and was born and adopted in St. Louis in 1971. She has been shooting photography since she was a child, but did not embrace her talent until she rediscovered it in college where her curiosity grew. Having moved to San Francisco, she furthered her studies in fine art photography at the Academy of Art University of San Francisco. Jennifer has exhibited her work in numerous shows including Center of Fine Art Photography. She has participated in artists in residence programs and taught workshops in photography in the local schools in St. Louis. She is an artist who focuses on the compositional element of an image and the emotional response it elicits, and strives to bring greater awareness to the public through the lens of her camera.
Jennifer has been a first place winner in the Px3 Prix de la Photographie awards, in Paris and her work was published in Burn Magazine. Jennifer also was award an apprenticeship with the Lucie foundation in 2010. Jennifer has also has been a second, third, honorable mentions award winner in the International photography awards. Richter was also accepted into the Sony World Photography Collection and self published a book of the California Overpasses â??Remembering Views From The Roadâ??.
