The Mythologies series is an ongoing exploration of motifs found in the coastal areas of British Columbia. What I have added to the photographic process is a way of exploring an inner monologue and personal dimensions not often made visible in the real world. Through the ongoing development and building of these photographs I have discovered the world outside and the world inside share similar aspects and require similar treatments. Those qualities include, solitude, quiet, slow movement, patience, and often return visits to the same places to become familiar with their true depth and meaning.
