I’m an artist who works with a camera. Since the year 2000 I have worked exclusively in photography. Before 2000 I was a painter.
I like to make images as art and for advertising.
My pictures have some sleep in their eyes. I make languid tales of longing and delight that slow things down as they look around. They have taken me into woods and fields, ponds and moonlit paths. My landscapes are overgrown and off their game. Using inky colors the tales describe my places with a sleepy indulgence. It’s a tale of figments. My images aren’t dreams. They’re figments closer to intuition than they are to dreams. They spin a yarn and frequently make visible some of the things that I’ve seen through the invisibility cloak.
My pallet: play, fantasy, coincidence, smoky mood, sweet white light and slow time.
