British born Giles Heather (ARPS, LBPPA, LBIPP) is a commercial, portraite and fine art photographer. He aims to capture his subjects? personalities through his images and to portray a sense of personality and place. His studio is based near Henley-on-Thames but works both nationally and internationally on location in public and private spaces.

Giles comes from a strong design background and carries these skills over into his photography work. As a designer, photographer and digital artist, he has a talent for image manipulation and digital work.

His fine art images are typically black and white. He shoots a lot of his landscapes in the UK and considers it is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, but also travels extensively, finding American landscapes particularly inspiring.

His abstract colour work involves saturated colours and time slow exposures to create images in which the original subject is almost unrecognisable. Through these images, Giles explores the concept of time, using a slower exposure allows him to capture of a sequence rather than just a moment.

Giles was am IPA-Lucie award winner in 2007, won the SWPP & BPPA Monochrome Photographer of the Year 2006 and was placed first in the RHS Garden Photographer of the Year 2006 His images are represented by several major stock agencies and are sold in over 30 countries.

His images have appeared in The Royal Photographic Society?s journal and in glossy magazines including Inside Out, House and Garden, Living and Gardens Illustrated.

Giles is now building his portfolio and actively looking for representation.
