In april 2009, Hanoi-based photographer Boris Zuliani had a trip on his motorbike between Hu© and Hanoi. He managed to follow the coastline and captured some of the fishermen's daily life, while heading north along the beach, between water and earth.
Boris used a EE 44 Polaroid camera with 88-type film. (Boris came to Vietnam with a 120 kg amount of various types of Polaroid, with different expiry dates, each set presenting its own effect, as a fine wine collection would do). He remains deeply attached to this old-fashionned process, and also fascinated by the surprising results light and chemicals can give.
