Blistering cold winter of 2026 in the North East Coast of the States brought rare phenomenon of the frozen Hudson River. Very thin ice surface reflected the lights coming from One World Trade Center, emitting the sunset color altogether. "La glace" means both "frozen water" and "mirror", reminded me a word in my mother tongue of Japanese, "himo-kagami (氷面鏡)", which also means ice-surfaced-mirror.

Harsh winter still gives us some beauty we all can admire.
