The series was taken during a road trip through Mongolia, while questions about habitation and environmental exposure were examined. Rather than interpreting the landscape simply as a scenic spectacle, provisional forms of human presence are recorded, from temporary encampments to fleeting encounters.


An experimental film is purposely used to distance the documentary certainly to allow the steppe to exist between record and reverie. Sequenced together, the journey was revisited as a lived field of transit, temporary belonging, and fragile adaptation of human occupation were unfolded.
