Sculpted Voile confronts our modern condition of entanglement. Adorned in sculpted voile that evokes both ethereal fashion and discarded ghost nets, the series explores the body as a site of resistance against societal pressure and consumer waste. Set against a painterly backdrop, the subject's averted gaze asserts an autonomous inner world. This act of quiet fortitude is mirrored in the choice of medium. By using 8x10 large-format film, the project champions tangible craft over digital perfection, seeking an authentic beauty within our complex state of entanglement.

Hsin-Ya Lin, originally from Taiwan and currently based in Shanghai, is a photographer known for his pursuit of elegance and timeless beauty in his work. Inspired by classical oil paintings and modern minimalism, he strives to create images that resonate with simplicity, sophistication, and a sense of enduring artistry.
