Drift of Time

One of my central artistic aims is to express time through a two-dimensional image. I believe a photograph can carry not only a moment, but a sense of movement and continuity.

In Drift of Time, I used a slightly extended exposure to capture both the silky softness and the dynamic force of a river’s current. These opposing qualities coexist in quiet harmony.

This image reflects how time—unseen but ever-present—can be revealed through motion, texture, and light. It is a meditation on how fleeting moments are transformed into stillness, and stillness into memory.

I am an amateur photographer based in Japan, driven by a deep passion for capturing the world through my lens.
From breathtaking landscapes to striking architecture, dynamic street scenes, and everything that stirs my heart, photography has become an inseparable part of my life since I began my journey in 2015.
