Hagia Sophia (“Holy Wisdom”) is an architectural masterpiece. It is a mosque, museum and former church, with a history dating back almost two millenia. For a long time, it was the world’s largest interior space.

The halo’ed interior is a space of awe and serenity. This picture captures the vastness with winter lights shining through the windows, age through time and earthquakes, and appropriately, chandeliers appearing as halo’s over the visitors.

The pandemic prompted a rethink of life and fired a desire to travel, see and understand the world. Travelling the world to open my eyes and mind, I strive to use my humble skill to capture the human condition through the lens.
