Vulnerable Valiance

I was born queer, mildly autistic, and affected by multiple autoimmune conditions. I didn't fit in. At times it was hard to find a grip on reality... I turned to art to find a voice in the situations when I felt silenced.
The series "Vulnerable Valiance" emerged as a meditation on minoritarian becoming inspired by ideas of Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari. Difference is often not treated with kindness. I create my images with a goal to change that.
Handmade photographic prints (pigment lift transfers) that form this body of work invite appreciation of imperfect beauty of being alive.
