Sunset Lit Sand Dunes of Wilsons Promontory Australia

I loved that this sunset falling over Wilson’s Promontory, Victoria, partly hidden, was very subtle and rather than become the main point of interest, it was delicate enough to cast colour across The Big Drift, the sand dunes of Wilson’s Promontory, Victoria, softly highlighting the texture of the sand dunes, against the silhouette of a lone small tree.

I grew up on a farm in Australia, where I often witnessed the power of nature, both the good and the bad. I sometimes had mixed feelings that nature could be both beautiful and brutal at the same time, but it always left me in awe.
I then came to Melbourne where I worked as a designer but was interested in photography from early on. I see patterns, lines, colours and shapes that change in different lights and I take shots to forever set a place card in my memory.
I find the world is full of opportunities to capture special instances in time, in different lights, not always seen by others.
