One of many self portraits completed in the last few years. A study in introspection, hoping always to see more of myself and learn more about myself with each image.

Taking self portraits on antique cameras, using film, is challenging. Somehow introspection competes with technical perfection. A flaw in the image offers me a barrier to the intimacy I crave.

And so with this - so close yet so far. At first it seems that I have achieved a vision for myself. But inspect closely and you'll see tiny white marks left aft by this expired film stock. This is not the one.
