The sun rising out of the Coral Sea, captured on Tjapukai land. I've been chasing this image for months, waking up before the sun emerged on the horizon, fighting with the elements to capture this image I wanted. It unexpectedly made me think of the first people and how sun cults emerged. Even today, my circadian rhythm has shifted, and I still feel drawn to witness the sun emerge over the horizon, to feel the first rays of light. Standing there each daybreak, the experience is unique, however is also shared with those who have come before and will after.
