TBI warriors and those that support them; A portrait series

TBI (Traumatic brain injury) is very often an unseen disability, & frequently leaves the individuals in a world very challenging to maneuver. They often deal with seclusion, depression, and a loss of loved ones & friends who don't understand why their personalities have changed so much.

Their injuries were received by a range of incidents, from major (parachute not opening) to repeated concussions, but the one thing they all have in common is resilience, unfiltered emotions, and the drive to make their lives as 'normal' and full as possible. They are true warriors who deserve to be seen.
