I spent a year of my childhood living in Marmaris, Turkey. I have the fondest memories of my time there; what stands out the most after all of these years away, was the warmth of the people. Despite language and cultural divides we were embraced as neighbors.

I was thrilled when an opportunity to revisit Turkey arose! Just as I remembered from my youth, it was the people that made the greatest impact on me. This ceramist being one of them.
