While visiting San Diego, I took a nighttime stroll by the bay, hoping to capture some cityscapes. I was captivated by the bright building lights contrasting with the darkness of the night. I only brought my 24mm Samyang Lens and managed to take a series of pictures, but this one stood out. This is my first entry ever to any contest!
I started photography in 2016 out of needing something to "redirect" my focus in life. In my line of work, I have been exposed to both sides of life, the good and the bad, and everything in between. Photography has revealed to me there is beauty and that we must share these perspectives, and inspire others to see life for its beauty. The challenges of composing and editing a picture bring me joy. Every take is a story to be told, an inspiration, an opportunity to reconnect with something otherwise forgotten.
