This is an image captured looking over towards the Canary Wharf area in London, UK. The ongoing regeneration of the London Docklands area has seen many buildings being constructed within this area comprising a mixture of residential, commercial and service sector uses.
I took up a position on the opposite bank and used a long exposure to smooth out the water of the River Thames. I finished the image in a black and white fine art style with a range of adjustments/treatments applied to each of the main buildings to create an interplay between light and shadow to give the image presence & depth
I live in Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland and my creative journey has evolved over the years. My main interest is architectural photography. Over the past few years I have become more immersed in the Black and White Fine Art genre and predominately focus my time and attention into learning and developing more of my photography in this field.
