The Tulip Staircase is located in the Queen's House Museum in London UK, The ornate, wrought iron structure was the first geometric self-supporting spiral stair in Britain.
I formed my composition from the ground floor looking upwards in order for the wrought iron bannister rail to lead the viewers eye as the stairs spiralled upwards. I processed in a black and white finish to enable the underside of the stairs to contain the eye in the centre of the image using a combination of light and shadow. I named the image in relation to reports of paranormal activity being associated with the stairs
I live in Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland and my creative journey has evolved over the years. My main interest is architectural photography. Over the past few years I have become more immersed in the Black and White Fine Art genre and predominately focus my time and attention into learning and developing more of my photography in this field.
