Spark of hope

Over the time, these photos took on more meaning for me in an expanded context. It is a disease that affects us or our loved ones, over which we have no direct influence and causes us suffering and pain that does not go away. There are certain social frameworks that cannot be overcome and which often limit us greatly. World wars that we cannot stop. This powerlessness, which seems to be a hopeless path, causes all the lights to go out. However, no matter what happens, there is always that little spark of hope for a better tomorrow, a new day, another chance or a new beginning.

My name is Karolina. I am an engineer and a humanist, although my interests cover many other different fields. Taking photos has always given me a lot of joy, from an early age. The combination of technique and artistic expression is always something special for me. Photography has become my passion and an indispensable part of my life, part of me. There were also long breaks. However, I cannot imagine life without art and looking through pictures. Conscious photography teaches me mindfulness and seeing beauty in small things and in yourself. It is like therapy for me and a balm for my soul.

Awards This is the first time I sent my photographs to the competition.
