"The awakening" is a piece from my self-portrait study series.

A mix of analogue and digital collage techniques is used here as a medium of self-investigation. The reflexive features of this decorative genre are also partly used by me for therapeutic purposes, in order to find inner peace and harmony.

The intention was to show how seasons change, from winter to spring, however, both mentally and physically I am still stuck in the previous season, awakening from the cold and dark winter days.
