I took this image after a 7 hour pilgrimage hike in Adam's Peak, Sri Lanka. When I found out about this place and the pilgrimage the Buddhist population did during the night, which implies a higher sacrifice, I got very curious about it. I wanted to experience what the did and contribute with my effort. With a 40 pound back pack, my cameras and tripod, started to climb around 11:30pm at night. I got to the peak around 6am more less and around 6:30am I was granted with this amazing view at the sunrise, it really paid off all the effort. The layers, the early morning fog, the light was magical.
