Giovanni Gabassi, after having attended the Giovanni Sello Institute of Art in Udine, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna where he also specialized in the fresco technique with the master Lorenzo Ceregato.
He expresses himself with different techniques and his is a continuous search for new surfaces and new modes of expression. He loves to combine the latest technology (photography and digital processing) with traditional pictorial and graphic interventions. The color, even in its brightest tones, is a constant in his works.
Awards He has several personal and collective works to his credit (Udine, Belluno, L'Aquila, Venice, Cannes, Salzburg, Perugia, Potenza, Livorno, Florence, Passariano, New York, Miami, Rome, Milan), as well as several participations in competitions and exhibitions in the national territory where the interest of the critics was received.
He also worked on the graphic layout of the materials related to events, tourist publications, panels for his hometown, Palmanova, starting collaborations with municipal administrations, Confartigianato, Italia Nostra, etc.
He continues to deepen his education with specific courses (Artistic Anatomy with Giancarlo Venuto and Alberto Lolli, Photography with Alberto Moretti, etc.) and frequenting artists.
His works are present in various private collections in Italy and abroad (Canada, England and Germany, USA). It is also proposed on the web with the Saatchionline gallery.
He is a member of the Friulian Plastic Arts Center and has joined the XXI Century Art Movement
