Digital Capture - Image transfer onto aged metal

I am drawn to life's ambiguities and to what holds mystery. In my early career I found working in the analog world fascinating. I still enjoy these processes and for now tend not to overuse digital manipulation. I am often inspired by what I think I see and not necessarily what is physically there. A drift in the snow may look like a woman in slumber. A native American Hoop Dancer might appear to be merging with the sky. I like to take images from my past and merge them with them with aged metal to push them in my imagined direction.

Awards I was born in Newport, VT which lies close to the Quebec border. In 1970 I attended ā€œ The Country School of Photography ā€œ in Woodstock, Vt. There I studied classic photography. I worked primarily with black and white films, developing and toning prints in the darkroom and working the many realms of portraiture.

I have licensed images to publications such as Audubon, Yankee Magazine, St. Martin's Press, Hallmark, Avanti, Marcel Schurman and Borealis Press.
