There are thousands of pictures taken each year in Kolmanskop, but the reality feels so much different. When you wander through the rooms during dawn time, you finally start getting it.

It’s not only an abandoned diamond site, where opportunists used to play bowling and go to parties. Nor it's a surrealistic fashion backdrop.

Kolmanskop is a gallery. The gallery that hosts both temporary and permanent exposition: sand art made by nature, moving and changing over time. Although some rooms still appear unused, this performance is unstoppable, and the art will inevitably reach every corner.
