Ceramic materials are wonderfully reflective and I love how they perform when the sitters are arranged and then rearranged to highlight the light, tonal subtlety and translucency as they tend to merge into each other in a creative way. This effect is dramatised in the images that I make by firstly painting a background then combining several exposures of the same objects that are physically rearranged, so that the final image is achieved, with minimal post production and without the use of textures digitally.
