Theyyam, an ancient and captivating tradition, unfolds in the southern state of Kerala and certain regions of neighboring Karnataka. Named after "God" or the "incarnation of God," theyyam intertwines theatre, mime, and worship, tracing back to a time before Hinduism but infused with Hindu mythological elements.
