I was inspired by the beauty created by shadows, as depicted in Junichiro Tanizaki's "In Praise of Shadows". I tried to capture this traditional Japanese beauty by shooting in my home studio with natural light coming in through the window and a little light from a candle flame.
I am a Japanese street photographer.
I'm shooting my town, street, and casual days.
Sometimes I also take still lifes.
