The young generation prefers to engage in higher social status careers, rather than spending years learning the mastery in hot kitchens, no more new devotees.
The humble roadside noodle stall in this photo which had been in business for 70 years, was driven to close down under rapid city development at the end of October 2023.
Kirby Ma is a passionate Chinese Canadian photographer based in Hong Kong, practicing street photography, portraits, landscape, cityscape, nature, and snaps.
Due to the nature of previous employment engagements, he was stationed in different countries such as Egypt, the Philippines, the USA, Canada, Europe, Japan, Taiwan, etc., and had close encounters and a better understanding of the local culture and people to extensively perform portraits and street photography.
His vision is to share the joy of photography and bring more happiness to the people.
