The machineries of joy. Amusement park rides are a thrill to behold. Screaming sounds of adrenaline rushed passengers, dizzying delights of artificial light and the surreal moment of mechanical fantasy. I wanted to portray that emotion in a more exciting way to capture that feeling. Shooting when the rides were in motion, I had set my camera for a long exposures and sometimes adjusting the zoom lens while the shutter was open with spectacular results.
Hillary Greene-Pae is a practicing clinical psychotherapist and real estate investor.
Her interest in photography began when she was a graduate student at UC Berkeley. During her semi-retirement she now has time to pursue her real passion. She enjoys capturing candid moments as well as both being an observer and participant in the process.Re
