Here in Spain, very few people are awake before sunrise unless it is because of work. Speaking of work, the bees are buzzing and busy at this time and especially in the Lavender fields of Brihuega, España.

Photography is a funny thing. When I left this sunrise shoot I was completely convinced that my images were destined for immediate deletion because I just didn't feel the vibe. Then a few days went by and I opened them up in lightroom. I started cropping and - BAM! - an amazing image like this appears! Too bad the image can't include the sound of the bees buzzing...

I create images because it makes me happy.

Photography transports me back to simpler times growing up in the peaceful and happy upstate town of Hamilton, NY. As a young boy, the abundance of wildlife and natural landscapes provided endless fascination.

Reflecting on select memories, I’ve come to see how my deep connection to nature has profoundly shaped my path as a visual artist. Today, I’m driven by a desire to share the breathtaking elegance and understated power of the natural world. For me, photography is more than just capturing images—it’s about honoring the artistry of nature itself.
