I took this self-portrait a few months after my arrival in Paris. The posture of an old canvas, the grain of a silver photograph, an armchair and books, all of that tell a story... The setting is a magnificent artist's studio overlooking the Eiffel Tower. A dream artistic nest. It's a poetic tale from a visual point of view, but it's also full of emotion. Being there, without being there: that's the energy that emanates from my attitude. My body is posed, but my mind is elsewhere, surely in its usual reverie that allows me to escape a less attractive reality.
